Working with our Partners

We work closely with the services we commission (buy) for the local community.

We attend regular involvement meetings with our providers so we can participate and talk to local people about their experiences of accessing health and social care.

All information captured at the events is reviewed and forms part of the work we do across the organisation.

Halton Borough Council

Halton and St Helens VCA

Halton CCG works with a wide range of Voluntary Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) partners to co-develop projects and shape commissioning intentions.

A good example is our current work reviewing Halton’s social prescribing system. We have worked closely with key VCSE providers including Halton CAB, Halton & ST Helens VCA, Halton Carers Centre, Runcorn & Widnes Cancer Support, Wellbeing Enterprises CIC and many more. We’ve engaged with these stake holders to ensure that their views are considered when developing the new system. This has been done in various ways such as workshops, group visits and one-to-one interviews. We want to widen our model so that we can work with even more of the 500 local VCSE Groups.

Another example is our work with local veterans. We’ve engaged with the local veteran population and found that many veterans have very practical skills and would like to utilise them. Working with other local partners we’ve managed to secure funding that has provided and base and tools for the veterans. This allowed them to set up a furniture up cycling project which has distributed furniture to over 400 people in need.
